Landlord Documents

Obtain a copy of attorney Petersen's treatise Indiana Eviction Law. Designed for judges, attorneys and real estate professionals, this work offers succinct, reliable guidance.

Landlording begins with the proper documents. Cost effective tenant screening, leasing and property recovery all require documents with the Landlord in mind. The Law Office of Jonathan Petersen is committed to providing documents with the most current developments in landlord/tenant law. Don't rely on stationery store forms with generic language when you can have documents created to benefit Indiana landlords. The Document Center contains our Single-family Lease, Multi-family/Apartment Lease, Application, Indiana Security Deposit Letter, Replacement Costs Sheet, and more.

Landlord Leases: Purchase the updated 2021 lease containing waiver of notice language that benefits landords when tenants fail to pay rent.

Indiana Eviction Services

Our office provides eviction services to landlords throughout Northwest Indiana. Since non-paying tenants can seriously impact a real estate business, we strive to provide quick and cost effective solutions when an eviction becomes necessary. My office is committed to returning possession of your rental property and reducing turnover time by weeks or months. In order to start the eviction process, we have included documents in PDF format (requiring Adobe Reader). Please have your eviction request to us before noon on Monday so that we can schedule your eviction hearing the following week.

COVID UPDATE: Presently, evictions for non-payment of rent are permitted. Nevertheless, I recommend for the foreseeable future that all new leases be on a "month-to-month" basis only in light of the continuing COVID pandemic and the uncertainty of possible, future eviction moratoria. I have observed that my office can successfully evict tenants on month-to-month tenancies notwithstanding any eviction moratorium if the landlord issues a one-month notice to terminate. Below is a sample Notice to Terminate Month-to-Month Tenancy which will terminate a month-to-month tenancy .
